What the law requires

There's no single regulation that names a "compliance audit" — the requirement is that the responsible person can evidence compliance across each statutory area on request. An audit is how you find out, before an inspector does, whether that evidence actually exists.

What we provide

  • An on-site check of every compliance area against current certificates
  • A gap list showing what's covered, missing or overdue at each site
  • A RAG status report scored by compliance area and by site
  • A baseline register you can carry forward, whoever holds the servicing
  • Remedial actions logged with a priority and a fixed price to close each gap
  • The full audit pack held in your client portal, ready for an inspector
Next step

An audit is a snapshot. A plan keeps it current.

Once the gaps are found, a compliance management plan keeps the register live — tracking due dates, evidence and RAG status across the estate as it changes.

Compliance management plans

When clients run an audit

Most often at the start of a new contract, after taking on a new site, or ahead of an insurance renewal or head-office review. The audit is independent of who does the servicing, so it's an honest baseline whether ILUX has held the contract for years or not at all.

Common questions.

Do you need to hold the servicing contract to audit us?

No. An audit checks what's actually evidenced at each site against the twelve compliance areas, regardless of who carries out the servicing.

How long does an audit take?

A single site is usually a half-day visit. Across a multi-site estate, we agree a schedule and report site by site as each is completed, rather than waiting for the whole estate.

What happens after the audit?

You get the gap list and RAG report to act on however you choose. Most clients then bring the highest-risk gaps into a compliance management plan to keep them closed.
