Why it matters
A lighting layout that isn't calculated first gets fixed later, at greater cost. CIBSE/SLL guidance sets recommended lux levels by task and area, and glare (UGR) and colour rendering (CRI) both affect how usable a space actually is, not just how it looks on paper.
ILUX designs to that guidance before any fitting is specified, so the layout is right once rather than adjusted on site.

Applying one design across an estate
Once a layout is proven at one site it becomes the standard for the rest of the estate. New sites are checked against it rather than designed individually, so lighting reads the same wherever someone stands in the building.

Do you design for an existing building or only new fit-outs?
Both. Most design work goes into an existing building against the ceiling and containment that's already there.
What software do you design with?
DIALux-style photometric modelling, so lux levels and glare are calculated against the actual room dimensions before anything is ordered.
Can the same design be rolled out to other sites?
Yes. Once a layout is signed off it becomes the specification for the estate, checked against each new site as it's added.
