Why it matters
Lighting sells product and it's a safety system at the same time. Colour rendering (CRI) affects how merchandise looks under the lamp, lux levels by area affect how a space feels to shop in, and BS 5266-1 sets what your emergency lighting has to do if the mains fail. Get the design wrong once and every new store repeats the mistake.
ILUX designs to a single specification per brand, then installs and maintains it store by store, so a shopper sees the same lighting whichever site they're in.

Controls and signage
Time clocks and daylight sensing cut hours run without a shopper noticing a change. Illuminated signage and window displays are wired into the same distribution and controls, so front-of-house lighting is one system rather than a separate contractor's afterthought.
Common questions.
Can you retrofit while the store stays open?
Yes. Retrofit work is scheduled out of hours or overnight as standard, with aisles made safe and re-lit before trading starts.
Do you design to our brand's lighting spec, or write a new one?
Either. If a spec already exists we install to it. If it doesn't, we'll design one with you and hold every store to it after that.
Does emergency lighting need testing separately from the main scheme?

Can lighting controls be added to an existing installation?
