Why it matters

Lighting is one of the largest and most predictable draws on a commercial electricity bill, and it's usually the quickest measure to pay back once an audit has confirmed the fitting count and hours of use.

ILUX runs the replacement as a programme rather than a series of one-off jobs: one specification, one phased schedule across the estate, and works timed outside trading hours wherever the site allows.

What's included

  • A fitting count and specification survey at each site, built from the energy audit where one exists
  • A phased rollout plan across the estate, prioritised by usage and fitting age
  • Supply and installation of LED fittings, matched to the space rather than a like-for-like swap
  • Works scheduled out of hours or around trading patterns to avoid disruption
  • Old fittings and lamps removed and disposed of correctly
  • A completion record per site for the asset register

Where a site's lighting design needs more than a fitting swap — different layouts, controls, or emergency lighting integration — that moves into a proper lighting design rather than a straight retrofit.

Lighting

Sometimes it's a redesign, not a retrofit.

Where a space needs rethinking rather than a straight swap, our lighting team scopes it as a design project under the same contract.

LED retrofits & upgrades

How it fits a multi-site contract

The upgrade programme usually follows an energy audit, and consumption is tracked through energy monitoring once fittings are live, so the estate can see the change in usage site by site.

Common questions.

Do we need an energy audit first?

It helps but isn't required. Where an audit has already been done, the fitting count and priority list feed straight into the rollout plan.

Can works be done without closing the site?

Usually, yes. Most retail and office rollouts are scheduled out of trading hours. Where a site can't accommodate that, we agree a phased plan around it before work starts.

What happens to the old fittings?

They're removed and disposed of correctly as part of the works, with nothing left for the site to arrange separately.

Phase the upgrade across your estate.

Send us your site list and we'll come back with a phased rollout plan.
