Why it sits with ILUX

Most of what stops a site trading now is IT: the till that won't log in, the Wi-Fi that drops, the email account that's been compromised. For a business with a handful of sites and no IT team, that usually means a separate IT company, a separate contract and another number to ring.

ILUX offers IT managed services alongside broadband, phones and cabling so the whole of a site's technology is looked after under one agreement, reported through the same client portal, with one helpdesk to call when something stops working.

What's included

  • Helpdesk support for users and devices, remote first, on site when needed
  • Microsoft 365 licensing, setup, migration and ongoing administration
  • Device monitoring, patching and antivirus across PCs, laptops and servers
  • Email security, multi-factor authentication and backup of Microsoft 365 data
  • Firewalls, Wi-Fi and network management at every site
  • Starters and leavers handled the same day, with hardware supplied where required

There is no off-the-shelf package. Support is scoped and priced for each client from what the estate actually runs — users, sites, systems and hours of cover — and reviewed with you as the business changes.

Cyber security

A baseline your insurer will recognise.

The security controls in the package line up with the five Cyber Essentials themes (firewalls, secure configuration, access control, malware protection, patching), so certification is a short step rather than a project.

Where it fits

IT support is usually added by clients who already have their broadband or phone system with us and want one point of contact for everything technical on site. It works just as well on its own for a single office or a small chain that has outgrown a local IT contractor.

Common questions.

Do we have to move our phones or broadband to you as well?

No. IT support stands on its own. Most clients bring the rest across at renewal because one contract and one helpdesk is simpler, but it isn't a condition.

Can you work alongside an in-house IT person?

Yes. We can take the routine load (helpdesk, patching, licences, security monitoring) and leave your own team to the projects, or cover holidays and out-of-hours.

What happens when something breaks on site?

You log it with the helpdesk in the same way as a maintenance fault. Most IT issues are fixed remotely; where hardware needs replacing, an engineer attends with the part.

One number for everything technical on site.

Connectivity, phones and IT under one contract, one portal and one helpdesk.
