A leased line is a dedicated fibre circuit run to one site, not shared with other users on the local exchange. Bandwidth is symmetrical and uncontended, so upload speed matches download and performance doesn't drop at peak times. That matters for a head office, a data-heavy site, or anywhere card payments, CCTV and cloud systems all depend on the same connection.

Install lead times
A new leased line typically takes longer to install than broadband, since it usually means new fibre being run to the building. We confirm the lead time before the order goes in so it can be planned against an opening date or a broadband contract's end date.

Do we need a leased line or is broadband enough?
Depends on the site. If it runs payment systems, CCTV storage or cloud applications for a lot of staff, uncontended bandwidth matters. The survey will say which is right rather than default to the more expensive option.
What happens if the line goes down?
The SLA sets a fix time, and where backup is in place traffic fails over automatically so the site keeps trading while it's fixed.
How long does installation take?
Longer than broadband, since new fibre is often involved. We confirm the lead time before ordering so it can be planned against your dates.
