Retail fit out
New store openings, refits and roll-out programmes run to fixed opening dates, with certified electrical work handed over the day the doors open.

Why it matters
A retail fit out has one date that doesn't move: the opening day. Landlord approvals, trade sequencing and a fixed programme all have to land on that date, and the electrical installation has to be certified to BS 7671 before anyone switches a light on. Miss a step and the opening slips, which costs more than the fit out itself.
ILUX runs the fit out end to end and hands over a complete certificate pack on the day the store opens.
What's included
- Programme built to the confirmed opening date, working back through every trade
- Landlord and building approvals coordinated before works start on site
- Electrical first and second fix to BS 7671, with certification issued at handover
- Data and till point cabling installed and tested ahead of EPOS go-live
- Shutters, security and signage fitted and commissioned
- Snagging closed out before handover, not after opening
For a roll-out across multiple stores, the same programme and specification repeat at each site, so lessons from store one carry into store two rather than starting over.
A fit out is only as fast as its slowest trade.
Electrical, data, shutters and signage all land in the same short window before opening. See how we sequence multiple trades on one site without them queueing behind each other.
Roll-out programmes
For a chain opening or refitting several stores a year, the fit out becomes a repeatable programme rather than a one-off project: a fixed specification, a standard trade sequence and a single point of contact across every site, run by project management under the same contract.
Common questions.
What if the opening date is already fixed?
That's the normal starting point. We build the programme backwards from the opening date and flag early if any trade puts that date at risk.
Do you handle landlord approvals?
We coordinate the applications and drawings the landlord needs to sign off, working to whatever process the lease sets out.
Do we get certificates for every store, not just a sample?
Yes. Every store gets its own electrical certificate pack, issued at handover and held in your portal alongside the others.
Can the same team run a multi-store roll-out?
Yes, that's the usual model — one specification and one programme repeated at each site under project management.
Opening day, held.
