Weekly, quarterly and annual testing of sprinkler systems, flow switches and stop valves to BS EN 12845, with every test recorded against the log book.
Why it matters
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the responsible person must keep fire suppression systems in efficient working order. BS EN 12845, alongside the LPC rules for automatic sprinkler installations, sets the testing regime: weekly checks of alarms and pumps, quarterly checks of valves and flow switches, and a full annual inspection and service.
ILUX runs that regime to schedule and keeps the site log book current between visits.

How it fits a multi-site contract

Who does the weekly test?
Usually site staff, using the log book and template we supply. The quarterly and annual visits confirm those tests have been done and check the parts that need a competent engineer.
What if the system fails a test?
We make it safe on the day where possible and give you a fixed price to put it right, with priority given to anything that affects water supply or alarm signalling.
Do you cover both wet and dry systems?
Yes. The servicing schedule follows BS EN 12845 for whichever system type is installed, including any dry or alternate sections that need seasonal checks.
